Oat Beta Glucans
Beta glucans are soluble fibers that have multiple functional and bioactive properties. Its beneficial role in insulin resistance and obesity is being continuously documented. Oats are a naturally rich source of beta glucan. The effect of oat beta-glucan on both serum cholesterol and blood glucose reduction has been heavily studied. Recognized Global associations and recent meta-analyses support the role of oat beta-glucan, and specifically its viscosity in lowering blood cholesterol levels. Oat Oil
Beyond just protein, oat protein contains 16 to 19% naturally occurring oat oil composed of:
• Primarily palmitic, oleic, and linoleic fatty acids
